“R & R” stands for Russ and Russ. In 1960, Russ Jr. persuaded Russ Sr. to join him as a partner in-business. They started R & R Construction with just a bulldozer, a backhoe, and a truck. Rapidly expanding their industry knowledge and experience, the Russ’ young company not only moved a lot of dirt — they helped out their community, all while keeping their equipment top notch by building their own parts and performing in-house maintenance and repairs. Their reputation as solid workers willing to tackle just about anything grew, and so did the business. By 1968, Russ Sr. was ready to retire and Russ Jr. was able to purchase the company from his father.
Now nearly six decades later, Russ oversees nearly 70 employees, a fleet of earth-moving equipment and trucks and state-of-the-art equipment. His reputation as a hard-working problem-solver has allowed him to sit on the board of several organizations. Russ continues to come up with forward-thinking ways to keep R & R growing and remains a well respected leader in the industry and community.
